Why are there so many people involved in one methodology? Before going there, which method are we referring to?
At Maximum Potential, we dedicate and focus our services on Lean Six Sigma, which consists in improving processes that mostly involve people or your employees—to be more specific. The way to improve processes isn’t similar to other methods, in this, eliminating aspects and solving problems are the main goals, and we can assure you that we and many other people agree that it is probably the best option to do it.
After all, you can’t or shouldn’t add more elements and aspects to your company and processes if you haven’t solved the problems that affect them in the first place. Most of the addition some companies make to their operations only work as momentary solutions and boosts, but the problems or aspects affecting them remain there. Now, going back to the first question, to implement it you need more than 5 people in your team or it may be more difficult than it should.
The reason behind this is because there are several roles and levels in Lean Six Sigma. But the team we provide you in our company has each one of them and we can assure you that with them, you won’t have to struggle with the project.
What are the roles and levels?
There’s a total of 5 levels and therefore, roles, that are classified or rated by using the same method as in karate: belts.
– White belt: is the person with basic knowledge in the methodology and is only able to report issues and problems from the company.
– Yellow belt: works more like a member of the main team that deals with the implementation itself and supervises white belts.
– Green Belt: from here, anyone in this role is a leader for the previous belts and deals with some parts and operations of the implementation, like reporting, improving, implementing ideas, and so on.
– Black belt: is mostly known as the leader of most operations and tasks since it works as a coach, mentor, and other roles.
– Master black belt: similar to the previous one what in this case, he or she plans the project and is in charge of the culture change.
Can you be one of them?
If you take the proper training and take the time to learn and acquire all the knowledge, why not? Anyone can be part of the team as long as it is well-prepared, and you’re not the exception. However, you still need support and assistance or, at least, a team that can fulfill the other roles and functions that time and energy don’t allow you to deal with.
That being said, at Maximum Potential, we have both options for you: assistance and training. You can ask for our Lean Six Sigma Consulting Services or our Training and Certification options. Maybe both if you need experts and at the same time, want to learn everything.
Just let us know and we will make the arrangements for you, and don’t worry, our Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt Training and Certification is also offered via Zoom.
Dont be shy, Just tell us about yourself and we’ll figure out the best option for you and your project.
Helping organizations and the people who work there reach their full potential.
