The DMAIC or the (D) – Define; (M) – Measure; (A) – Analyze; (I) – Improve; and (C) – Control is used to develop business processes while the DMADV or the (D) – Define; (M) – Measure; (A) – Analyze; (D) – Design; and (V) – Verify is used to redesign and to evaluate new processes and products.
